Aimée Tabor, Ed.D.
March 3, 1977 – December 8, 2015
Aimée Tabor was a force for broadening participation in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) and increasing access to education for women, minorities, and those underrepresented in STEM fields. She dedicated her too-short life to this goal at UC Berkeley, always advocating for access and change. Black Girls Code meshed perfectly with her goal—Aimée loved to see black girls coding.
