Black Girls CODE and Nike Presents: “Powering Human Connection “

Black Girls CODE 2021 hackathon was aimed to excite and motivate participants ages 12-17 to build and hack tech solutions to problems in the community.

Participants developed skills in ideation, team-working, app development, and presentation. They created connections with each other and with their mentors. They discovered how tech can be a tool for social change agents. They had an opportunity to explore a significant social justice issue and engage in creating solutions to the issue by using technology as a lever for change.
